    When can a passenger file a claim for improper transportation?

It can be presented both to the carrier itself and to its representative upon arrival at the destination, at the point of departure, during transit or transfer, during a transfer or stopover. At the same time, you must provide facts confirming the amount described in the claim. The document is submitted for consideration, which lasts about three months from the date of registration. The applicant must be notified of the positive or negative outcome of the case. Sometimes carriers may require other documents or ask for an extension of the review period.

    How exactly is a claim made?

    If your baggage was damaged during transportation, you must certify this fact in the baggage compartment. Only then can you send a claim to the carrier. Usually, the claim is sent:

    1. As soon as the damage is noticed.
    2. If there was a delay in the delivery of baggage, then within seven days after receiving it.
    3. No later than 21 days after the passenger has been given possession of the baggage.
    4. If the luggage was completely lost, then no later than 2 years after the ship arrived at its destination.

    What are the stages of the procedure?

    1. A complaint is filed no later than three days after the transportation.
    2. The State Aviation Service creates a special appeal commission.
    3. The complaint is considered within 15 calendar days. If necessary, the review may take 30 days.
    4. An appeal can be filed with the court if the client so wishes.

    What documents are required?

    1. A properly executed claim. It must include the following information: the name of the company that carried out the transportation; the applicant's name, phone number and address; why you wrote the claim; what your requirements are to the carrier; the calculated amount; bank details of your account; documents to be included in the claim.
    2. A properly executed application for money transfer.
    3. Attach the receipt for the transportation to the documents. It must be marked if your flight was delayed or canceled.
    4. Boarding pass.

    1. The tag that was on the luggage.
    2. A commercial act.
    3. Documents confirming the amount of money you spent on repairs.
