Extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities

An extract is issued only to a person in person and is mandatory for registration actions, in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On State Registration of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs" dated 15.05.2003 No. 755-IV, i.e. it is nowadays the Certificate of State Registration. If it is required in the course of business, the request must be submitted only in person (no mailing is provided), in Ukrainian in print or by hand, without any marks. The extract form is printed on both the front and back sides. Previously, it contained a minimal set of data (date and address of registration, head, and whether the company is in the process of termination). Starting from December 17, 2012, the scope of data has been increased to include information from the statistics, tax and Pension Fund on registration, main type of activity, single tax payer registration number, risk class, being in the process of termination or the fact of termination registration.

The register statement today

Under the current Article 11 of the Law of Ukraine "On State Registration of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and Public Organisations", a statement is generated after a registration action. The law separately provides paper statements for an apostille and electronic statements. To show the current status of a company or sole proprietor, an extract from the Unified State Register is usually needed, since it shows data as of the request date or a specified date.

Statement with an apostille for use abroad

Statements, extracts and certificates from the register are apostilled by regional offices of the Ministry of Justice. A notary may apostille only a statement the notary generated as a state registrar. We choose the form that the foreign authority will accept, obtain it, add the apostille and deliver the original.
