For immigration lawyers: documents from Ukraine

If you are an immigration lawyer, a patronato, a gestoría or a relocation consultant abroad, your Ukrainian clients need documents that only Ukrainian authorities issue. What we do for law firms abroad

• Criminal record certificates on paper with an apostille. The electronic version cannot be apostilled, and the apostilled paper certificate is released only by the Ministry of Internal Affairs service, so a representative in Ukraine makes the process much simpler for a client who lives abroad.

• Civil status documents. Duplicate birth, marriage, divorce, name change and death certificates and extracts from the State Register of Civil Status Acts, with a Ministry of Justice apostille. Original Soviet-era certificates are not accepted for an apostille. We apostille a copy certified by a Ukrainian notary or obtain a duplicate in the current format, depending on what the receiving authority accepts.

• Company and sole proprietor documents. Extracts from the Unified State Register, sole proprietor extracts, tax residence certificates.

• Property documents. Information certificates from the State Register of Real Property Rights.

• Checking the checklist. We compare your checklist with what Ukrainian authorities actually issue and tell you in advance if a document has a different name or form in Ukraine.

How to refer a client

1. Email us the client's name, the destination country and the list of documents. A checklist from the Questura, consulate, Extranjería, Standesamt or voivodeship office is ideal.
2. We confirm what we will obtain and which documents need a power of attorney. We draft the power of attorney in Ukrainian with a translation, and the client signs it at a Ukrainian consulate or before a local notary with an apostille.
3. We agree the fee with you or the client before work starts.
4. We obtain the documents, have them apostilled and send you scans for review.
5. We deliver the originals to your office or to the client, as you instruct.

Confidentiality

We use client data only to obtain the requested documents. Results go to you and to the client, and to nobody else. If your firm works under its own confidentiality or data processing terms, send them to us before the first case. We do not contact your clients about other services.

Timing

Timing depends on the document and on the Ukrainian authority. Register extracts are issued quickly, while criminal record certificates with an apostille and duplicates from civil registry offices take longer. Before we start, we give you a realistic estimate for each document and then update you as the file moves.
